My Trials And Tribulations With Earbuds

Hi, my name is Gwen and I'm a "music junkie".

A few months ago, I got an MP3 player. It came with very cheap earbuds, and
I didn't like the sound of the factory earbuds, they kept falling out of my
somewhat small ears. I tried about 30 different earbuds, most of them way
overpriced. Since I had to search for these cool things in a lot of
different places, I decided to sell them myself.

Unlike the $25 to $100 earbuds you'll find at Wal Mart, the "Good" earbuds
are only $10.00, the "Best" earbuds are only $15.00. These will sound very
similar to the high dollar earbuds you'll see at most stores. The
lightweight on-the-ear headphones work great for exercise and outdoor
activities and provide great sound for only $12.00. For people who can't
decide which type is best for them, there's a "3 in 1 set" that provides all
the different available styles of earphones for only $17.50.

Lucky me, a friend's lending me webspace for viewing and placing orders.

Good earbuds that fit my ears are hard to find since most of them are made
for people with ears the size of jackals.

No doubt! That's why I spent time checking them out and it paid off with
the comfort and the great sound I get. Thx for the comment.

My Trials And Tribulations With Earbuds
Hi, my name is Gwen and I'm a "music junkie".
Hmmm, sounds just like the beginning of the old DAK ads...with Drew
talking...and then hawking the overpriced junk.

Hmmm, I actually use both the earbuds and headphones daily and find both to
be priceless after having spent a number of hours testing many. Thanks for
your response though, any input is welcome.

It would be interesting to review your testing standards--to separate
real standards from shill standards.

Thanks for your reply.

Maybe I can help out here. I bet Gwendy tried various buds and found some to
sound like crap, some to be too large to fit in the ear very well, some to
have leads too short and expensive to boot. ( I have a lot of those kind)
And then tested some that sounded good, fit the ear very well, were not
ridiculously overpriced because of a brand name stuck on them and had leads
long enough that you did not have to Velcro the music device to your cheek.
I am just thinking that is how it went, but I don't really know. Lets ask.

Gwendy, what makes these buds good?

Jerry
Jerry, thanks for giving me a chance to respond.

I'm not a "shill"; I simply love music, and the earbuds that came with my
mp3 player were terrible. As much as I loved the convienience of mp3's, I
hated the sound, and the fact that the earbuds kept falling out of my ears.
A friend of mine suggested I try a bunch of different types of earbuds and
headphones to see if any of them worked better for me. He had an account
with a major distributor of a lot of different brands, so he got me a whole
bunch of different brands and types to try - and they didn't cost near as
much as the typical Walmart brands. I found some great deals on some really
nice headphones and earbuds, and he encouraged me to start a small business
selling them.

I'm not a salesperson for some big business; I started selling these because
I love the sound of them and they're inexpensive. I can't stand music when
it lacks bass or has screechy highs; I like a smooth, well balanced sound.
I tried dozens of earbuds and headphones and these were the best of all of
them as far as a smooth well balanced sound in a style that was comfortable
enough to wear for hours.

That's the whole story. No big test facilities; they just had to sound good
to me. If someone wants to try them and doesn't like them, return them, and
I'll give them their money back. It's no big deal either way; I'm just
trying to turn people on to better sound and maybe save them a few bucks at
the same time.

Again, thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt and a chance to
respond.

Good luck with selling these. I just ordered a pair and will let everyone
know how well they work for me. Your shipping cost was more than reasonable
also. Thanks.

For what it is worth, I just today got my new Blackberry Curve this
afternoon. It came with a nice looking set of buds. Unfortunately they are
too big for my ears and I can't use them.
